General Patton’s Speech

Every leader wonders, will you be able to inspire a team to victory under the most desperate of conditions?

“may not sound nice at an afternoon tea party, but helps my soldiers to remember.”

General George Patton, jr. addressing the United States Third Army:

Battle is the most significant competition in which a man can indulge. It brings out all that is best and it removes all that is base.

An army is a team. It lives, eats, sleeps, and fights as a team.

I asked, ‘Don’t those planes strafing the road bother you?’ And he answered, ‘No sir, but you sure as hell do.’

I’ll be proud to lead you wonderful guys in battle anytime, anywhere. That’s all.
