INTERVIEWER: Jeff Cunningham

I interviewed Gen. James L. Jones, USMC (Ret.), former National Security Advisor to President Obama, Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of the U.S. European Command, and 32nd Commandant of the Marine Corps, on his opinions gathered during decades of experience in international policy and national security, at the recent NACD corporate governance conference in Washington D.C.

In this interview, I begin with President Obama’s moving tribute, and then asked the General his views on how the business world is being reshaped by constructive and disruptive forces, giant leaps in technology, and shifting political landscapes. Jones also touches upon our most significant international crises — the emergence of the Islamic State, the ongoing war in Syria, the Iranian nuclear crisis, the Ukraine, and the existential question of all time, has WW III begun?
